How Tousled Works
Tousled is simple to use. Customers use our app or website to select a service, enter the time and place for the service, pay with a credit card, and look forward to on-site pampering. On the back end, Tousled alerts relevant professionals to the job, including date and time, price and location. Once professionals accept the job, Tousled matchmakers choose among available professionals for a successful match.
Upon matching, your professional receives a reminder check-list of on-site stylist protocol and a list of products and tools expected in the kit. Professionals and clients can message each other directly from their booking on Tousled. Professionals are encouraged to message the client to “break the ice” and invite any additional information about the appointment. A profile picture of the stylist appears on the booking alongside the Facebook picture of the client (due to Facebook integration on the client side). Parties can converse through the platform so they have an early introduction, a chance to discuss the details of the service and ask any questions ahead of time.
At indicated time and location, service providers arrive, fully equipped to perform service. Providers carry out service and leave. Clients have pre-paid and do not have to reach for their wallets at all, and can tip online. After services are completed, customers and service providers receive emails from Tousled inviting clients to write a review of the appointment. Insights from clients are posted on the professional’s portfolio along with our internal measurement of how frequently they are re-booked.
For service providers to be accepted on our network they must be licensed in their discipline with proof of licensure. They are each reviewed and vetted and invited to do a practical interview with Tousled management before being matched. They are required to submit photos of themselves and to submit photos of their work for their individual portfolios.
